Medical engineering is a branch of engineering that focuses on applying engineering principles to medical challenges, such as developing medical devices, computer applications for patient diagnostics, designing and developing new medical technologies, maintaining them, and creating user-friendly and safe systems.
Key subjects in medical engineering include organic chemistry, biomaterials, fluid mechanics, molecular biology, materials resistance, electronic circuits, fundamentals of medical engineering, physiology, anatomy, thermodynamics, and more.
The duration of studying medical engineering in Turkey is four years. If you do not pass the language exemption exam, you will face an additional preparatory year to learn the language of instruction, whether Turkish or English, depending on the university you are applying to it.

1- High School Certificate (Translated into Turkish or English)
2- High School Transcript (All Grades) (Translated into Turkish or English)
3- A Copy of the Passport
4- YÖS, SAT, ACT etc. Exam Result (if any)
5- A Personal Photo
6- Valid English Language Certificate (For English Programs / if any)
7- Turkish Language Certificate C1 (For Turkish Programs / if any)
8- Equivalency Certificate / Denklik (During Registration)
Important Notes:
- Since applications are done electronically, documents must be prepared in PDF format, and after obtaining admission, registration at the university is done in person or through a power of attorney and with the original documents.
- The high school certificate and transcripts (all years of secondary school) must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country.
- Documents must be translated into Turkish by a translator accredited to the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in your country or by a translator accredited to the Notary Public in Turkey. Otherwise, the translation will not be accepted.
