The specialization of interior architecture and environmental design is defined as one of the architectural engineering disciplines focusing on designing interior spaces in various environments to achieve greater comfort, ease of living, and use of facilities.
Some refer to it as "interior design," while the difference between architecture and interior design lies in that architecture focuses on building structures from the outset, whereas interior design comes into play in controlling the interior spaces of buildings.
Among the most important subjects studied in the specialization of interior architecture and environmental design are rendering techniques, color theory, composition, perspective, shading, interior design principles, computer modeling, health and safety, professionalism, and others.
The duration of studying interior architecture and environmental design in Turkey is up to four years, with an additional year dedicated to learning the teaching language, while this specialization is offered in Turkish or English at Turkish universities.
