Aksaray University was established in 2006 by bringing together faculties and schools that provided education in Aksaray and were connected to Selçuk and Niğde Universities. As of 2021, it hosts 1,657 foreign students, mostly from Asian and African countries. The total number of students is around 19,500.

The University has a vision that supports the development of science and technology by producing universally useful knowledge and innovation. It offers an equal, honest, respectful educational environment to all students in a spirit of solidarity. Apart from the academic events, seminars and conferences for both students and academics are organized and contributions are made to personal development.

Why Aksaray University?

The campus, which is built in a very large area, draws attention with its greenery and architectural structure. In addition to being the 3rd most accessible university in Turkey, it has managed to rank 2nd among 114 universities in the YÖK 2021 Barrier-Free University Awards.

The main campus is only 7 km from the city center and students do not have transportation problems. There are various alternatives for students in terms of accommodation. Its motto is “the university without housing problems”.

The city has a rich historical and cultural heritage. It is located at the intersection of metropolitan cities such as Ankara, Adana, Kayseri, and Konya.

Its main campus was selected as the 4th greenest university campus among universities in Turkey in the 2020 UI GreenMetric ranking. The university has succeeded in being an exemplary school with its environmental awareness.

Bicycle transportation is available within the campus for approximately 15 thousand students.

It is a fully equipped university with a semi-olympic indoor swimming pool, psychological and guidance counseling service, conference hall, library, dining hall, and changing rooms.

Thanks to the Erasmus student program, it has cultural diversity. Apart from Erasmus, Mevlana and Farabi exchange programs are also implemented. Besides students, academicians also benefit from exchange programs.
