Adıyaman University (ADYÜ) is a young university established in 2006. It was formed by combining faculties and schools belonging to İnönü, Harran, and Gaziantep universities, located within the borders of Adıyaman province, under a single roof.

Adıyaman University adopts a student-focused approach and a philosophy of barrier-free living, and has taken necessary measures on its campuses to ensure that its students do not face any difficulties. In addition to the central campus, the university has campuses in Besni, Kahta, and Gölbaşı districts.

Adıyaman University (ADYÜ) educates a quality workforce needed in the region, especially in Adıyaman, with its academic units carrying out education and training activities in different disciplines. It is among the universities in Turkey that has managed to make a name for itself with its administrative staff who give importance to work discipline and academic staff who are experts in their fields.

Why Adıyaman University?

The university's central campus is very close to the city center. Transportation is provided by public transportation vehicles departing from the city center and takes only 12 minutes.

There are two separate dining halls serving students on the campus. Adıyaman's regional delicacies are also offered to students in the dining halls. In addition, students can use the cafes on the campus. ADYÜ also supports its students on issues such as accommodation, transportation, and security.

The central campus, with its efforts towards disabled individuals, has been awarded blue and orange flag awards by YÖK. The central campus and many faculties were awarded in the "access to space" and "access to socio-cultural activities" categories in 2019.

The central campus has an indoor sports hall, stadium, semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool, and multi-purpose sports halls.

It has been ranked as the 1401st best university in the world in the US News Best Global Universities ranking, which is considered one of the most respected university rankings worldwide. It has also managed to rank 32nd among Turkey's best universities in the same ranking.

It has achieved being the 443rd best university in the world in the physics department.

Through national and international exchange programs such as Erasmus Plus, Farabi, and Mevlana, collaborative research and education are conducted with many universities around the world. Especially within the scope of Erasmus Plus, there are student exchange agreements with 87 universities in 12 European Union countries.

Technological and scientific research programs are applied throughout the university to encourage research. Additionally, projects managed by the Silk Road Development Agency, the European Union, Leonardo da Vinci, and TÜBİTAK are also closely monitored.
