Tobb University Of Economy And Technology

TOBB University of Economics and Technology was established in 2003. TOBB ETU, which started its operations in 2004, is located in Ankara. The supporter of the university is the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). As a beginning, the Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Education and Culture Foundation (TOBEV) was established by TOBB, and then the studies for the establishment of the university started.

TOBB ETU provides education to 5,827 students, 33 of whom are international students.

TOBB ETU has the vision of being a university that designs and shapes the future. It aims to carry out innovative research in cooperation with the public and private sectors and to provide high added value to the country by keeping productivity at the highest level.

Why Tobb University of Economics and Technology?

The university draws attention with its large and spacious campus. At the same time, there is an olympic swimming pool, indoor gym, dining hall, and dormitory on campus.

1 year at the university consists of 3 terms. 2 of the 3 semesters are organized for academic and 1 for work experience. For this reason, many TOBBETU students can complete their education in 4 years and gain 1 year of work experience during this time. This application, which TOBB calls Cooperative Education, enables students to gain experience in 3 different workplaces.

TOBB offers a wide variety of opportunities for students who want to study at university in Turkey. Besides preparatory education, second foreign language education is also compulsory for students. Therefore, students graduate knowing two foreign languages.

It has managed to enter the Times Higher Education (THE) Millennium Universities ranking at 32nd place. In this respect, it is among the best universities of Turkey.

TOBB ETU included 3 students in the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program managed by Stanford University in 2021. Thus, the university gained the title of “innovation ambassador”.

In the URAP 2021 report, in which world universities are evaluated in 11 different categories, it has managed to enter the top 600 in 2 separate branches and the top 800 in 1 separate branch.

TOBB ETU, with its GARAJ project, gives compulsory Leadership and Entrepreneurship course to all its students. With this project, it is aimed to pave the way for students with good ideas. Financial support of up to 50,000 TL is provided to the most successful business ideas.

TOBB ETU provides full scholarships to approximately 17% of its students. In addition to education services, it also provides accommodation services to these students free of charge.
