Samsun University

Samsun University (SAMU) was established on 18 May 2018, and is the second state university in Samsun. The university currently has two campuses located in Canik and Ballıca districts. Both campuses of the school contain plenty of green space.

SAMU is a boutique university with 3,540 registered students and provides quality and high standards of education with its strong academic staff.

The university, which describes the key to success as "study", promises its students areas where they can carry out qualified research and development activities. Adopting a critical and participatory approach with its universal vision, the university trains assertive and self-confident students.

The university, which carries out its academic studies in accordance with international standards, supports its students to act with this perspective. For this purpose, agreements have been signed with many world universities within the scope of the Erasmus Plus student exchange program. While SAMU hosts students from different countries, it also allows its students to get to know new cultures. Likewise, students who are successful after the foreign language exams organized by the international relations unit of the school can continue their education abroad for a certain period.

Aiming for each student to benefit from university services equally, SAMU stands out with its practices aimed at minimizing all the difficulties that students with disabilities may experience. Offering comprehensive psychological support for students with disabilities, SAMÜ organizes orientation processes for newly enrolled students to adapt to the university. Courses and exams are designed in accordance with the special conditions of students with disabilities. The physical conditions of the campus are also designed to facilitate the life of students with disabilities.

One of the distinctive services of the university is its library. Here, extensive literature searches and resource accesses can be made. Believing that knowledge is the most valuable treasure, the university has designed its library in accordance with this understanding. By integrating the developing technology into the library system, it enables users to maintain their access in the online environment, even outside the campus.

Within the scope of TEKNOFEST held in 2020, the students of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics of the school succeeded in winning the "Tanyeli Rocket Team" first place.
